Ocean Way Nashville Recording Studios, founded in 1996 by Gary Belz and Allen Sides, are located in the heart of Nashville's famous Music Row. Purchased from the founders in 2001 by Belmont University, the studio remains a fully commercial facility but added an educational component in conjunction with the school's College of Entertainment and Music Business.
Nashville engineer Leslie Richter and David Messier from Austin's Same Sky Studios pushed for the Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers Wing to come up with reopening guidelines for studios. The Lodge's Emily Lazar, Blackbird Studios' John McBride, Welcome to 1979's Chris and Yoli Mara, and many other professionals contributed ideas.
- Quonset Hut Studio was a music recording studio, originally known as Bradley's Film & Recording Studios, and which later was called Columbia Studio B. It was the first major label recording studio in what would later become known as Music Row.It is located in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1954, producer Owen Bradley, along with his brother Harold Bradley, both also later known for working.
- For years, Shaw ran his Toy Box Studio recording business out of his Nashville home without incident. In 2015, he was hit with a cease and desist letter from Metro, which demanded that he stop.
